Dr Jane Ray, Principal Plant Pathologist, Department of Industry Tourism & Trade, the Northern Territory Government, has over 15 years’ experience in tropical plant pathology, biosecurity and diagnostics. Jane recently led a research project investigating the bacterial wilts of Australia and the aetiology of banana finger-tip rot (mokillo). The national and international research that Jane has collaborated on has focused on pathogens of biosecurity significance. Jane has extensive experience working in northern Australia, Indonesia, Timor-Leste, and Papua New Guinea and is passionate about tropical plant diseases, capacity building and mentoring.
