Dr Susheela Katukuri is a plant pathologist currently working in the Plant Biosecurity team in the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, WA. Prior to her time in WA, Susheela worked for Govt. of India for 12 years. She has a robust track record in pest risk analyses, policy reviews, surveillance, response, applied research and market access. She has also led capacity-building and educational programs to enhance the prediction, prevention, and management of plant pest incursions. She has an extensive exposure to international plant biosecurity issues. She managed to secure Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Networking Grant from The Academy of Medical Sciences, UK.
