Dr Linda Smith is a Senior Plant Pathologist with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries. Current research includes developing management strategies for reniform nematode and Verticillium wilt of cotton. Extensive surveillance of cotton crops are conducted bi-annually to monitor endemic diseases and collect absence data for key exotic diseases.
