Joel Vanneste is a Senior Scientist in Plant and Food Research who has been involved in the outbreak of Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa) since 2009. Today his laboratory, based in Hamilton, is involved in the molecular characterisation of strains of Psa, in the understanding of the epidemiology of the disease and in the development of control methods.
