Dr Sally Norton, B. AgSc (La Trobe University 1997), PhD (Southern Cross University, 2007) is the national Leader of the Australian Grains Genebank. With over 20 years’ experience in the collection, characterisation and curation of agricultural plants she is also recognised as a specialist on crop wild relatives. Sally has established the AGG as one of the larger and most diverse collections amongst the world’s agricultural genebanks, that now provides capacity building programs. She is the author of more than 30 scientific papers and is a National Focal Point for the FAO/UN for Australian Plant Genetic Resources programs.
